Reddened Walnut KitchenBuddy

In his well loved KitchenBuddy profile is a unique, one-of-a-kind rendition by Austrian artist and woodsman Maximilian Neukufler. Carved using only hand tools andtraditional techniques from a select piece of walnut wood that combines the beautiful grain and colors of both hardwood and sapwood, each cut of the artist’s knife is visible in this perfectly imperfect kitchen tool. With a wide, asymmetrical bowl, the KitchenBuddy works excellently as spoon, scoop, and even tasks usually assumed by a spatula. Finished in a wabi-sabi style painting of red and teal, visible are the brush marks down the tapering, comfortable handle. An heirloom object to use for years to come, this is one of the few unique, non-batch utensils from Max’s workshop.
