Yugen Copper Tea Set

Rare birds even by the standards of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind works of functional art, like artist Si Golraine’s individual Ygen Copper Kettles, these three-piece Ygen CopperTea Sets are as elusive as they come. Only two are available, designed and hand-patinated using heat from an open flame in the hands of our Staten Island-based creative director. Si begins with an elegant brushed copper kettle handmade in Japan and nickel-coated on the interior, carefully and intentionally oxidizing the metallic surface, the canvas for her artist’s eyes, to create bold, beautiful imagery we have not seen before. Everything the tea drinker needs is included: the copper kettle with lid, three-piece loose-leaf tea canister, and tea scoop.
