Clad in homemade damascus, balancing just in front of the blade’s heel, and quick in the hand, this gorgeous nakiri chef’s knife by Kamil andMichal Hanuljak is poised to slay vegetables breakfast, lunch, and dinner (and, of course, midnight snack). Thin, hard, and very sharp at the edge below medium height convex bevels, this knife was forged by hand at the Hanuljak brother’s studio in Prague where they begin by creating the damascus, then laminating it to a core of 1.2842 high carbon steel, finally shaping it inch by inch into the finished piece witnessed here. As with the all Hanuljak Knives to pass through our fingers, the head-turning handle in comfortable, octagonal wa-style, is sculpted from cut and stacked reclaimed skateboards.
