Zipper Copper Nakiri 237mm

Forged by hand in the unmistakably bold style of steel-maker and bladesmith Jeramie ‘Jezz’ Heywood, the Zipper Copper Nakiri is a tough, beautifully crafted choppingtool that will turn heads with every cut. The strong, hard, and sharp edge is honed from Hitachi White No.1 high-performance carbon steel which is clad in multiple bars of copper using Jezz’s ‘zipper’ approach resulting in the unique and striking aesthetic achieved for this one-of-a-kind blade. Hand sanded to a silky, satin finish, the blade’s bevels are slightly convex beneath the forged-finished flats and stiff, weighted blade spine, producing a tool created for the most demanding cuts and densest ingredients. To control the 237mm / 9.3″ blade is a comfortable handle shaped from Jezz’s own composite made of reclaimed plastics, completed with a Tasmanian Oak collar and a finial forged from a reclaimed Datsun input shaft at the rear.
