Forged from 125sc (‘super-clean’) carbon steel, the 190mm / 7.5″ honyaki blade enjoys a lustrous, high-polish finish with bevels etched to reveal a striking and detailed hamon, coupled with a textured, forge-finished stretch near the tang on either side showing the hammer marks of the blade’s origins. Superbly convex above a thin, hard, hair-popping sharp edge, the geometry is spot on, while a full-distal taper along the rounded spine slims to a razor-thin, pointed tip for uncompromising precision. Complementing the contoured choil and spine for comfort and control is a handle in Jelle’s iconic, sculpted style, shaped from beautiful African Blackwood to hug the hand in any grip.
