Turned by hand from Japanese Water Betula Grossa wood by Gato Mikio’s master wood turners using traditional techniques passed down through generations in this region famous for its lacquerware, the details, quality, and feel in the hand are nothing short of remarkable. For precision, and to resist changes over time, cross-cut blocks of wood are meticulously turned and lacquered to reveal the wood’s natural beauty.
